Brief 
To create a new website design that showcases the professionalism of the solicitors and promotes a personal service that is unique to a small business.

Process
Desmond Fitzgerald & Co Solicitors is a legal practice with two solicitors – Desmond Fitzgerald & Meriel Fitzsimon. They needed a website to establish an online presence in the local community and within Galway. The objective was to keep the website simple but effective, focusing on communicating the necessary information to clients. Originally, the business did not have a logo, we discussed using the coat of arms for Fitzgerald, however the colours were bright red and were not suitable for the website.

Therefore after researching various options,  I created a logo that used the initials of the business which was personal to the solicitors and adopted a shade of red that was professional yet distinctive from competitors in the marketplace.

Once the logo was created, the next step was to plan the layout of the website and create content for the site. For this website as it represented a professional business, the social media site LinkedIn was used to promote the profiles of the solicitors. In addition, as the business conducted client meeting at the location – an account for Google Places was added to help in search results.
